But was not too bad! I am excited about the future of ALO.

Going camping with the family at the end of the month though!!

Going camping Aug 24-25-26

Just got back from our short trip to Fossil Oregon, where we stayed at Hancock field station. My daughter is crazy for dinosaurs so through the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry we booked a few days at the Hancock field station through OMSI.

About a year ago I bought a telescope mount that is motorized with sidereal motion so I can do much longer exposures. However I have been too lazy to figure out how to use it. These photos are all on a plan old tripod, exposures for 20 to 30 seconds so that all have a bit of rotation.

Yeah I really must try and mount the camera on this motorized mount. This will allow me to use a longer exposure and smaller F stop.

My daughter had a hoot though, she found a bunch of leaf fossils and an obsidian arrowhead - all returned to the park for someone else to find later.
