I'm driving down to Santa Barbara on Tuesday, so I hope Ken isn't too spent from RMAF. I would really like to stop by on my way out of town. Not that I'm going to be able to stay away between now and ,,,,,, You Know!,,, Forever!!

Resistance is futile. You have to learn how to choose your battles, and this isn't one of them.
As Bachman Turner Drive once said, "Let It Ride".

I hate this place! If I give in to the K1000, a Red Win Audio Signature 30.2, a Senn HD800 w/ a re-cable by Ken I will end up either dead or divorced. The first option is cheaper (at least to me).

You can always be the one who signs the termination order, and then it's a win-win (except for the sex and cooking part).

It's the major reason I have stayed married!
Twice a day, every day. That's our credo. She's a keeper.
My first marriage fit the minimum size limitation, but I threw her back anyway, figuring she'd be a better catch for someone else's minimum profile.
Just to keep the thread on topic, some wives might demand an "Amp-or-a her", mine demanded, "Amphora, as long as she gets to use it, also".
No argument from me.
Ken, when you get back from happy music land in Colorado, I will send you my Amphora for my annual 32 point inspection

Hi kaplac,
I spoke to Ken yesterday - 32-ohm Audio is OPEN!
He told me he already had two busy days with good traffic and sales, and barely anyone in the area even knows about the store yet. Wait until word gets out all over the Portland, OR area - that store is going to be jumping!
Ken,
As you make more updates to the store (including the home audio section), please be sure to post eye-candy photos for us to drool
Best regards,
Vinnie

So I had the unique pleasure of being the firs headfi member to visit Ken's store 32 Ohm Audio.
The store itself if hidden among lots of other small art studio sized stores. I actually passed by several times before locating the building. There is an extruding sign in the works though so it's only a temporary inconvenience.
But from the first glance inside the showcasing, you know that you've come to a special store that's tailored for the likes of headfi users and personal audio enthusiasts.
My camera doesn't quite do much justice. There isn't a wide enough angle and the colors seem a bit faded.

Right and left view of the store from the front door.

Speakers to the left

An "in-the-works" home audio section.

A quick glance at the in-ear display case. Curtis and Ken busy at work displaying some gear to customers.

Now the headphones! AKG, Ultrasone, Koss, Grado, Sennheiser, and the Dr. Dre Beats are displayed. Ken explained that the more expensive ones aren't out on display. Those being the higher end Grados and Senns there was an audio technica esw9 hidden in the front counter too.

There's the listening station equipped with 5G ipods loaded with everything from Norah Jones to Radiohead to Led Zeppelin. There is also some sort of amp hidden back in the panels too.
Not displayed in the pictures are several racks, one for skullcandy, another for sound magic and several other headphones, and a last one for comply iem cushions and iems.
There's still quite a bit that's being done to the store. It sounds like lots of stuff is continually being added to the store. I'm excited that a store like this has finally arrived to town. It's hard to buy headphones when you don't have the chance to hear them. Especially when they cost a pretty penny. 32 Ohm Audio has a wide spread of the best performing headphones available and they are all openly ready to be auditioned!
I highly encourage anyone that has the chance to stop by and say hi. It's a great little store that I think will be well received by the community.

We are going to be getting the sigh up hopefully next week. This will poke out over the side walk and be WAY more visible. For now the sigh is just a banner that we had strapped to the front of the building and it is hard to see it when going down the street.
