I've noticed that it has trouble playing some of my CDs and DVDs. Is this common for higher end digital players or Denon products? My budget players never had problems reading any discs.
Also, is there anything I can do to correct this problem or is there a repair service that can adjust my Denon so it will be more consistant on reading discs?
Other than that, I am really impressed with this unit. Most discs seem fine so far.
Edit: So far every CD has played. If there was a problem, I would turn it off and turn it back on. DVD playback is not consistant though.
You should be able to update the firmware on it. I had to contact Denon customer service and have them send me a CD with the firmware for my 2800, but they may have the newer firmware on their website now.

Thanks I'll look into that. It seems to be inconsistant with burned DVDs.
Further update:
CD wise, it pairs extremely well with a DAC. The Bel Canto DAC 2 with the Denon is closer to vinyl. Smoother and more round in sound with this combo. Sounds like hi fidelity luxury.
