Check out my Sig for what I use with my Lavrys. Two different types of connections. One using the Cardas adapters and the other using a adapter cable to RCA. Note to answer your question don't worry about any degradation from using adapters of this quality. I would recommend a good Power Cable like the IeGOs that I use.
The adapter makes a difference! Get the Cardas rhodium plated RCA to XLR adapters. They are an excellent match with the Lavry.
I tried them all.....BAT, Tara Labs, HOSA (horrible!). Cardas is the best one with the Lavry with no degradation of the signal.
Also, for interconnect cables, look into Virtual Dynamics. They had an undeniable synergy with the Lavry Dac. Slwiser can chime in since he has this very combo.

anything you put in the signal path will do something to it. whether you audibly hear it depends on a heck of a lot of things. i wouldn't worry about it too much.
