Default Sound interference with different inputs on Marantz receiver

When I am using different inputs on my Marantz 2226B Receiver, the AUX input interferes with the other inputs. My AUX input is my computer's sound card straight to the receiver. When I leave iTunes running and switch to another input, I can still hear what is playing on my computer at a low volume. I am worried that just turning off what is playing on iTunes does not necessarily solve the problem. Maybe there is something more to this that could possibly be detrimental to the sound. This only happens with my AUX input (this problem is not interchangeable between inputs). Let me know if I can elaborate any further. Any help is extremely appreciated.

I wouldn't worry. This is crosstalk, not an uncommon issue especially with vintage gear. You have to remember that the pre-amp stages in there weren't designed to cope with the types of signal levels that modern equipment commonly puts out so it may just be that the aux input is overloading slightly or not matched electrically as it was probably designed with tape in mind.
It could also be that the Marantz is no longer functioning within spec and would benefit from servicing and recapping as it's getting on for 40 years old.

I'd just back off the gain on the soundcard if possible or leave the computer off when you listen to other sources. If all the other inputs are funtioning fine then i'd be inclined to work around it.
