The Apollo has been treating my so very well, I wonder much better the Saturn can sound. I am very curious to say the least.
One of the differences between the Saturn and Apollo, is the number of DACs and DAC configuration.
" Two parallel connected Wolfson WM8740 dual differential Digital to Analogue converters improving the dynamic range and linearity. " -for the Saturn
" We have used the very latest highest performance DAC from our previous partners Wolfson, the highly sonically regarded WM8740 Sigma Delta 24bit DAC with differential outputs. Very latest Wolfson dual-differential DAC " - for the Apollo
I'm going to take a listen and see if it's worth adding to one of my systems. But I'm keeping the Apollo in one of my systems, regardless.
if i remember correctly,
rega planet 2000 is to jupiter 2000 as
rega apollo is to rega saturn
i remember reading or hearing someone *say* that the apollo was significantly better than the planet. note i did not actually hear it so take this with a grain of kosher salt

To me the Apollo sounded better than the Planet or the Jupiter.
Could you be more specific? How was it better? If you had a Planet 2k or Jupiter, would you get the Apollo or are the differences not worth the price? Please be as specific as you can.

thanks
While reviewing it in the High end Audio store, I know it was substantially better. Why, I can't say anymore as I do not remember the specifics. But substantially better is substantially better.
Stop and think now why a company would spend the money for two years of paychecks and research, parts ect, to come up with something worse or no better???? than what they already had? Of course it is better.
