Just notice that if i change my MicroDAC input selector from optical position to USB position, it still plays my music.
I'm using a H120 connected to the optical in of the MicroDAC and there's no USB cable connected to the USB input.
Anyone already notice this before?

The manual or some info I read about it (I do not remember the source right now) confirms that, if you plug only one digital input, the internal circuit locks to it automatically, even if the switch outside is not in aggreement with the digital input you are using. Hence, the behaviour you observed is normal, this is not a weird beahaviour, it is indeed the intended one. Your Micro DAC is fine
I have the same setup, do not worry...

Cheers artears.
Your sysconcept optical cable, which lenght is it?
I use one myself also ...
It is 20cm and just the right size for me I guess. I put my iriver on top of the Micro DAC. I am very satisfied with this company, custom ordering option and the quality of the cables are very nice.
I do also have another one, which is 2m long. It is toslink to mini.

Took me a while to get back to this thread. The Micro Dac does indeed automatically switch from USB to optical when switched to USB but only optical is present. I haven't been able to test in the other direction yet. It will not auto switch from the coaxial setting to read an optical input.
According to Tyll at Headroom, the new Micro DACS will do away with this switch altogether, with everything done by autosensing between coaxial, optical and USB and a priority system when more than one is present.
