Are there any? Most high-end cd players have one or another way to buffer the incoming data to eliminate jitter (some call it "jitter jail") so it left me wonder if there's such things as it.

on the used market there is the assemblage jitterbug and I think the digital lens also performed that function. Mainly these things seem to reclock the data to get it ready for dac. The better your clock in your dac the less the need for these devices.

the original Genesis Digital Lens (dates back to mid-90s) still does a fine job for 16-bit sources limited to 44.1 or 48. Also very useful as a digital source selector (1 each coax, BNC, TOS, AES/EBU on XLR, glass).
