Any Point in Upgrading Transport?
I'm using a SACDMods Sony DVP NS755 that has an upgraded clock and power supply. Is there any reason to upgrade to a better transport for use with the Ack dAck 2.0?
What should one look for in a transport to pair with a NOS DAC.

When I had a NOS DAC, I went through a sequence of updates for my transport, starting with a DVD player, then a decided CD transport, then upgrading the clocks etc.
My personal opinion is that yes sound quality did improve.
However, I'm not wholly convinced that it was a cost effective solution. What I mean by that is that I found that a decent s/h standalone CD player was actually better at the equivalent price point.
So I couldn't recommend the cost effectiveness of it.
Well, clock and a good power supply are the most important requirements. Next would be the connection interface - BNC-BNC being preferred.
But as stated, the influence of the transport in terms of bang-for-buck of sound improvement depends very much on the DAC - it's not even the fact of it being NOS or not, rather than if it does its own reclocking and what kind of receiver it's paired with.

True. Hmmmm. You might just screw up the sound by adding too many pieces in the chain. What about the current sound do you want to improve?
I have a really weird setup at the moment. However, it sounds really, really nice. Even my SNOB-ish engineer friend(ex-Nasa aka Mr. ANAL retentive lol) likes my setup. Point is, sometimes you find magic just randomly rooting about the FS here and on audiogon.

Sibilance isn't something to warrant swapping transports for.
Cables can offer an easy way to "eq" (add euphonic colouration)! Just try and borrow some different ones from friends and shops. In the US, you've got the cable company fatwyre guys who have that interesting library (try before you buy, with hundreds of cables) scheme - good thing I'm not in the US or else I'd probably have half of it out on loan
