To answer a few of the recent questions. The Single Ended vs Balanced Black Dragon GS1000 sounds the same. Where the difference comes from is weather you have a balanced or unbalanced amp. The only differences between the design of the Balanced Black Dragon and Single ended Black Dragon are the connectors and the grounds are separate for each channel in the XLR. I did a lot of experimenting with separate grounds in a single ended version using a 4pin XLR and never heard a difference.
As for RS-1 vs GS1000 either w Black D. They are very different animals. I don't know if I have a preference. They both have there own flavors. Love them both. It just comes down to preference of sound signature. The GS1000 as I am sure it has been said before does not have your typical Grado sound. Very different.
On another note I'm burning in a Silver Dragon V2 GS1000 as we speak. Going to send it and a Black Dragon up to DC for there next meeting. Hirsh and Stevieo will be babysitting them if you want a listen.
