Since this item is only available from me I can ship this item to anywhere on the Planet.

Here you go, straight from the horse's mouth.

For those of you who have already purchased a GS1000 and wish to have them recabled with the Black Dragon or other of our cables, the cost for recable will be $50 labor plus the cost of the Cable plus shipping. The recable will be done at Grado and will continue to carry a warranty.

Getting closer.
Bon matin Drew,
As whe are getting closer to the shipping date I have more questions for you:
1) Do you have the new big foam in stock? (I might want an extra pair)
2) Do we will have the new generation «Pizza» box already? (If not, I could wait a bit longer. I said a bit.... )
Thanks in advance,
Amicalement

I requested an update on either Thurs or Friday of last week. I was told it was a week out. So with any luck, the Headphones should be on the way to me by end of the week. I am pretty sure with the Final Box, but I will check into. I will also see if I can get extra pads, which should not be a problem.

Good news!!! You must know by now that for many of us the box is the main reason we went for the GS-1000....
If the extra pads are available please put a pair aside for me.
Thanks
Dany

Well, the first batch of headphones have now all shipped unless you are still holding out for the boxes. Hopefully soon on those. I'm Sending in the first set to be recabled with the New Silver Dragon V2 next week. Will let everyone know if it is a good match. The feedback I have recieved from everyone on the Black Dragon version has been extremely positive. Hope everyone is enjoying them.
To answer some questions I missed in the above threads. Yes you can get 1/4" or XLR or Mini, what ever termination you so desire. Any length as well. Everything is built to order. I'm thinking about trying a version with spades to run directly off of an amp.
The jacket colors can be customized as well.
Grado up to this point is not selling extra pads. Dont know if they will for a while. No word on it yet.
Existing owners of stock GS-1000 can get there headphones recabled for $50 labor plus the cost of what ever cable they choose.
Did I miss anything?

To me it's not clear if you can sell internationally. It would be great news for us europeans.

I can not sell stock Grado Headphones internationally. I can sell my version with my cables as I am the only source.

Just FYI, you would need a balanced source as well. it gets pretty pricey to go balanced.

you didn't perhaps have a bd rs-1 before did you? i know you're a big fan of the gs1's with the cabling, but do the rs-1's rock harder with this upgrade?

Sorry no. (if directed to me)
I debated awhile back, before the release of the GS 1000. Always figured the RS-1 was perfect for its purposes as it is..and think --after owning several pairs over the years-- that they get better and better with usage..so never did the upgrade on the RS-1 for the BD cable..
