A) OK I'm not good in math.... ( and obviously in English too...) but the $1150 is the result of the 10% on the Grado and the cable regular price...right?

B) Are you able to give us a price for the extension (recreate single ended GS-1000 part) that could run for as you has suggested (to avoiding additional tension on the jack ) for a 5 feet lenght?

C) And then do this new item could be eligible for the 10% reduction also ? (Wow do I push my luck or what.... )

D) Is there a distribution problem/limitation to sell these products directly to Canadians like....me.

Dany

Actually my math is bad too 10% off of $1250 is $125. So the Headphones with 10' Balanced Black Dragon is $1125.

5' Female XLRs to 1/4" Jack Conversion cable is $145. Cant do any lower on that one. Not enough margin.

Since this item is only available from me I can ship this item to anywhere on the Planet.

Given that you do also offer the "normal" Grado cans withte stock cables, does that also mean that you'd be able to ship those internationally as well?

No, unless you are somewhere there is no distributorship like the Moon. But since you live in CA you should be ok

Drew,

aren't XLR connections lockable? Although I suspect that they aren't as you recommend at least a 5 feet length for the XLR to 1/4" Jack Conversion cable.

And just to be clear, you are saying that you can ship the GS-1000 with 10' Balanced Black Dragon anywhere in the world, right?

Did I miss a reply, or has there been no answer to the question of whether a replacement cable will be available in 1/4" single-ended?

he suggested 5feet because the adapter should be long enough so that the XLR's lay on the floor so there is no weight bearing on the 1/4" connector when plugged into an Amp

also matt8268 he didn't really say if u can get them terminated to 1/4 but he did mention that all orders should be done through email, so i'm sure he can when u make the order.

Yes they are locking XLR's. I recommend a longer length on the adapter because 4 Nuetrik X-HD connectors are not light. You should make the cable long enough to have it laying on the floor or on some sort of support. Otherwise you will strain the 1/4" jack.

Interesting. Wouldn't that mean your balanced RS1 and GS1000 probably pan out both cheaper AND better than a standard one, if you're buying in Europe?

I'd like to know what options exist for current owners of the GS-1K living stateside. Wonder if a recable would void the warranty on the GS-1K or if JG would be cool with Drew doing it? Anyone know?

edit: oh and I'm referring to unbalanced.

It's cheaper to buy them new with the Black Dragon installed from me than modding them. But I will look into cost on doing it for existing owners. I will have Grado do it so that warranty is intact. I have no desire to risk damaging the wood on those babies

Drew, any update on when the GS1000 with balanced Black Dragon cables will be ready to be shipped?
