Default ERS Paper Burn-In .... as in fire!

um, so I've been admittedly using some ERS paper, in the tape form. I was avoiding posting here as it actually works quite well where I've tried it. So, today I put some on the bottom of a PCB and "fired" the thing up, and.... holy smoke! eek! I turned it off, and there are small burn marks around where some of the leads pushed their way through the tape... I immediately turned it off. Now that I've lost all respect on this forum, is this a ERS no-no or something?

ERS fabric has carbon fibers that are metal coated woven throughout the fabric. Be careful...especially around the exposed ends.

Here is a link to the Stillpoints page (the distributor):

If you fill the room with smoke from the paper, will your sound improve?
