Default Cardas 4x24 star quad OR Mogami Neglex W2534 for headphone recabling ?

I'm going to have my Ultrasone HFI-780s recabled and have narrowed down cable choice to the following:

Cardas 4X24 Star quad (~ $8 a feet)
Mogami Neglex W2534 (~1.50 or so a feet)

Per the specs, the Mogami uses Polyethylene insulation and a bare copper shield

I have been unable to find the exact specs of the Cardas starquad. Does anyone know what insulation the cardas uses ?

The cardas is more expensive. Would it offer a sonic improvement over the Mogami ?

thanks.

If you go with Cardas, consider getting it from PercyAudio - it's $5.75/ft there. It uses Teflon insulation.

Mogami 2534 is $0.91/ft at Redco.

Lots of people, myself included, really like Mogami 2534, it's a very nice sounding cable and at the price, it's fantastic. I personally like Cardas more, but I also like other cables over Cardas as well at a similar cost (particularly the 26AWG Cryo Juniper wire from PartsConnexion). Some people including at least one esteemed cable builder that does custom IC/recable work prefers Mogami to Cardas.

thanks fallenangel for the pointers. The Juniper wire is interesting and seems to be a good candidate for interconnects but for a hp cable that tends to have a lot of movement I'd prefer the cardas or mogami just based on the construction.

I'm still not sure if the cardas at 5x the price of the mogami is going to offer a noticeable sound quality improvement for a 2m cable.

I like the mogami. I also have some Jupiter wire coming that I plan to use on some interconnects.
