Default All the FiiO mod

Hi,

I was thinking of modding one of my FiiO.
I have two projects: adding a volume controller and changing one AAA battery for 2AA batteries

I will also case it in another box.

Is there anything else to do: I mean changing caps or capacitors or anything else.

I'll post pics of the inside of the FiiO later but everything is so small .

You may as well wait for the FiiO E5.

For a volume controller, you could just use a Level adapter such as the one by Shure.

I heard about the E5 but the point is not to have a good amp but rather having fun tweaking it. .

What do you think about adding caps like on the Cmoy at the enter of the amp ?

The problem with the E3 is that everything is incredible miniaturized and the board and space is sooo small. You'll have to solder with a needle if anything.

I think a volume control would be awesome with this amp. Whats the deal with the e5? I just went on FiiO Electronic Technology-www.fiio.com.cn and there was no mention of it. I'm interested.

Agree. I will juste change the battery and add a volume control.

@twoforty: there is a tread about it on the portable headphone amp.

I bought some stuff:

A 3 AAA battery case to make it more powerful, a volume control and two Cmoy caps.

Hope it won't die.
