5.5g ipod new battery+hd
Hello I hope this is the right forum for this question but I am really curious since I will be getting my secondhand 5.5g imod very soon:
1. Is it possible to change the battery in the 5.5g 80gb ipod to a battery with a higher capacity/longer lifetime (I will be using rockbox)?
2. Will I still be able to charge the battery via usb?
3. Is it possible to swap the normal harddrive in the ipod for a larger harddrive and what is the max size allowed/possible? Will this still work with rockbox?
Thanks in advance for the information,
Greetings, Anouk,

Hello, Well after reading some more on the net it seems you can now modify (with an adaptor) your ipod to accept compact flash cards. Really cool!
Greetings, Anouk,

I'm in the same position as qusp - rockbox on CF seems a bit flaky. I did have it working on a 4gb until I remounted it to add music, then it broke. That was using the 60gb patched version from iflash (the site I got the CF adaptor from). I still have the older version if you want to try it, but the later poster suggests the new one works .gif) Maybe it would help if I knew what I have - my imod is a frankenpod, not made by me.
As you can see, I asked there hoping for some help, but no luck as of yet
I'll let you know if I find out anything
