Ayt999 has informed me that USPS has raised their shipping prices. Since he needs your addresses anyway, and I owe a lot of you at least some money already, things are going to proceed as follows:
I'm going to refund the $3.85 (or $20) paid for shipping, in addition to whatever money I already owe. Everyone buying connectors will then send a PayPal to ayt999 for the shipping; I'll let him set the rates.

I bought enough pins (sockets) for all paid connector orders at the moment. they will be an additional $2 for each set of six pins (sockets).
so the shipping details:
US Domestic:
shipping to addresses in the US will be $4.50 for USPS priority mail 1 lbs. + $2 for each set of pins you want. if you want insurance then add $1.50 per $50 of insurance. I doubt delivery confirmation is going to be needed.
International:
for these shipments I'll be using the large Global Priority Mail flat-rate envelopes so I can use more padding than the smaller size, and the price is $10.50 plus $2 for each set of pins. (I'll have to check, but I don't think this method offers insurance or tracking.) if you want me to ship it in a box, live somewhere that I cannot ship via GPM, or want me to use another shipping method (EMS?), then PM me.
Convertor Cables:
now, if you opted for me to make STAX to HE60 convertor cables then the above naturally doesn't apply... this would come out to $120 total per cable shipped to a US address ($85 for an SRE-725 from audiocubes, $15 should cover shipping + insurance to you, and the other $20 is for supplies to make the convertor and paypal fees). if you don't want the 5M resistors installed, please indicate that. for international orders, add $20 extra for EMS shipping, or $5 extra for Global Priority Mail shipping. you still need to pay for the pins of any connectors you ordered that I'm not using to make a convertor cable of course.
paypal me at ayt at berkeley period edu
(paypal fees included in above price quotes)
confirming your connector order + sets of pins you want (along with insurance or other details) in your paypal payment would be nice.

Sorry I didn't realize this thread until now. I was wondering what happened with the adaptors.
ayt999, I hope is not too late to ask for the whole adaptor (cable included). I'll PM you very soon.
Regarding that resistor on the adaptor... Would it be a 5M one? I thought the 5M one was for the HE90 which is meant to be driven at 490V. Being the HE60 540V I suppose some other resistor value should be used. Isn't it?
Cheers

not too late, although once I order the STAX cables in one batch for the requests I've received already, I doubt I'll go for another batch. I don't have the money from any of the people requesting cables yet (mostly due to me not getting together a price until now ) so thus it is still open, but I would like to close this offer within the week so I don't keep people waiting too long.
I'll also send a PM to everyone just so they know to update themselves on the status of this thread. subscribing to group buy threads in general might be a good idea for participants in the future so they are always updated on the status?
the resistors I'll put on the bias lines (since the cable will have two leads carrying the bias current the cable actually will have two resistors inside) will be 5M Ohms. the HE90 is specified for a bias set at 500V and the HE60 is specified for 540V, but this resistor doesn't actually alter the bias voltage itself and should be present for other reasons. this seems to be more of a concern for the HE90 than the HE60 of course, but I'm offering to put it in for those that want it. (making a cable without installing them is easier. )
Great then. Just let me know the price for the cable when you get to know it. Thanks a lot for doing this.
BTW, just FYI guys. I've been using a KGSS with HE60 jack (at 580V) for a few months now (although usually not for long periods of time) and I never experienced problems with my HE60 so maybe the resistor is not that required for these.
However I think I did read that some people (Hirsch, I think) did experience this problem eventually even with the HE60 straight from Stax Amps. I can't confirm that. I performed some searchs but I couldn't find the thread.

Alright, I've recieved payment from GRod for two additional cable mount connectors, so the current totals are as follows. If you're not on here and sent me payment, LET ME KNOW ASAP. If you think you SHOULD be on here and haven't sent payment, send payment and let me know ASAP. If you WANT to be on here... you know the drill.
There is ONE last spare cable-mount connector left outside this tally, and NO spare panel mount connectors!
I don't know what I'll do if more than one person wants it, maybe put it up on eBay...
