what's the status on the pins? if that's still undecided, do people want them to be ordered in bulk from Mouser or Jameco and shipped with the connectors? I think that order will come out to about a couple dollars per set of six pins if we go through with it.
if people want me to make them a convertor cable, please PM me so I can figure out how many to expect. I'll use a STAX extension cable (to be bought in bulk later once I figure out the demand) and some black epoxy to secure it to the connector. I'll post the details and prices later, but this will be done at cost, so the price of the STAX extension cable is pretty much what you'll pay total. shouldn't be more than $80 each, for the 2.5 meter cable.
I hope everyone is fine with the new shipping arrangements.

I've already ordered 100 pins from Jameco and received them. I don't need most of them, and will be happy to give the others away. To get six pins, all you have to do is send me a self-addressed stamped envelope. Please send me an e-mail first, to get my address and make sure that I've still got some left. Since Alex is handling things on the cable build, he gets priority on pins for his own cables. If Alex will be building a cable for you, and you want pins to go to him, just send me an email advising me. I'll group all of those pins together and send them straight to him, if he's OK with that.
I also may give priority to international buyers, since it will be more expensive for them to buy pins/send them to Alex, etc., and it may save them more money than US buyers. If there's a group buy for pins, this may not apply. I don't have enough for everyone, unfortunately, and will try to distribute what I've got where it will do the most good.

Simplest would be if both the connectors and the pins go through ayt999 because he has to ship the connectors anyway. I appreciate his offer to order pins, if Hirsch's surplus is not enough.
If you have any additional costs that are not covered by the previous payment to Eric (that included shipping), I will of course send that amount.
Thanks for the help!
If nobody has any objections, I'll ship out all the connectors to ayt999 when I get back to Boston on the 8th and let him handle things. He's also volunteered to make adapter cables for those who need them.
Thanks Alex!
WOW! Excellent - Sign me up. PM sent to ayt999
I have been needing the adapter for quite a while -
