Head-fi seems to be flooded with Chinese amps these days, so I'm hoping some one will know the answer.
Are there any online sites targeted at Chinese users that sell the 'popular' amps? Or perhaps some one could point me to a Chinese audio forum where I can ask this question.

Well, if you understand chinese, the link below will lead you to erji.net's headphone amps / diy stuff page, which lists the many popular amps like LD Mark series or the C&C XO... C&C F1.. to name a few. The addresses are usually stated in chinese.
When I was in China there were some sites and the price is often half or less than what it is here but it isn't always that easy to get them sent to other countries. I had a friend contact a few by phone and purchased a few amps that way but even for him it wasn't always easy to get everything correct for shipping but it eventually worked.

Your friend's really lucky, or does know his ways. It is not so easy actually.
For me, I mostly enjoy the info from the site only... not unless one day I am planning a trip to the shops there to make the purchase in person. I am rather thankful that Jaben and the other audio shops in my country are able to bring in almost all the more popular amps from China, U.S., Germany...etc.
Most times knowing those "local" pricings will only make one feel worse because they usually still end up paying more. Probably they have their overseas partners, dealers or distributors arrangements to consider. If not, many would probably not even have heard of the amps.
Well I lived there for a year and a half so everything was sent to me in China where I live in Hunan Province. I still have my soldering iron that I bought for $2.25 and love it. It is better than my much more expensive irons.

Jamato, did you buy the amps directly from the erji.net dealers or through an online classifieds site (e.g. taobao)? Also, how did you deal the 220V/50hz problem when you went back to the states?
I know some one that'll go back to Changsha, Hunan for a while so I'm thinking of asking him to pick up a LD MKII for me. Do you know of any local stores selling amps or do they have to be ordered online?

Hi,
I wouldn't buy from any Ebayer, but that's just my opinion. I live in China approx. six months out of the year. I always bring back one or two [hand carried] with me. I actually may have what you are looking for. The quality has come a long way in the past few years.
