Recommendations For An AMP With Ultrasone HFI-650s
Hi All Headphone Legends,
Could anyone suggest me an amplifier to use with these wonderful cans?
They are great without any amp and direct from a portable source.
I just want to have them greatest with some proper juice supply.
Thanks.........

as I know,
Ultrasone USA chose Rudistor NX-02 and RPX-33 as the amp for PROLine 2500 and Edition 9.
I think you won't go wrong with any of them.

For your HFI-650, if you're looking for a portable amp, a Portaphile V2² is enough.

Since you also asked this in the Headphone Section, I will also quote my reply to you here:

I use my HFI-650 in my portable rig with a 5G iPod and PocketDock line-out>mini-mini and a Go-Vibe V5S.
The Go-Vibe takes the 650s to another level compared to the onboard amplifier of my iPod. Of course, you can achieve volume with them through just about any portable, but the Go-Vibe outputs quality volume that a portable alone simply cannot match. And the synergy between the HFI-650 and the Go-Vibe is simply breathtaking.
While the Go-Vibe is an excellent value portable amp, it can be upgraded into a fairly awesome desktop amp with the addition of an inexpensive external 24V power supply. I just wrote an extensive post on this very topic on this thread.
So I think that the Go-Vibe would not only allow your Ultrasones to reach their full potential, but also provide you with a superb quality amp that will easily withstand any future source or headphone upgrades!
Cheers, Dex
