Wow, that thing looks like a Creek OBH-11SE that mated with a Sonic Adventure Reality

Thanks for the heads-up KR.

Sounds like a possible winner. 150mW/600 Ohm lots of power and/or ability to push lots of voltage. Supports two indepently controlled sets of cans. (Big plus.) Three inputs.

Bad S/N ratio. Seems more like a Creek with this figure. Probably uses a wall wart, but let's hope its a good one. Tiny slew rate will probably muddy up the mids some.

Hopefully this thing will be cheap, and has some room internally for a swap of the op amps and cheap caps it might come with.

Who'll be the first to buy one???

I would be far more pessimistic : there are already some posts about it and it doesn't seem a winner at all:

lini : "Well, so far the HeadBox is not a real winner in my ears - I can't seem to get proper bass out of it with the K240S. The Porta Corda (old version) sounds much better to me even running only on a NiMH-cell. I guess, I'll give it a few more chances with a different cable and some higher impedant headphone, though, before I give up and book it under "200 Euro not well spent"...

tims : "Judging the actual musical capabilities of the amp is hard for me. As I said, I prefer the line out of all my soundcards. As far as I'm concerned the inside of the box could consists of a wire connecting line in / headphone out ;-)

I think I have to agree with andrzejpw's suspection that this is mainly intended to connect several headphones / preamps etc. It does that job pretty nice, it's great to be able to listen to two my computers and the TV without switching phones. Still, that's IMHO not really worth the 210€ and I'm making use of my 14 days money back right tomorrow ;-("
