Question Is it the AT line not fully compatible with Meier Head-amp?

From my experience testing my entire phone with Corda – HA2 most of them are running in very good results.

DT931 + Corda HA-2 = Very good (Fast, Analytical, Clarity, Fine Detail, Accurate, Balance, Sexy Bass and little bit warm with 120 ohm output )

HD600 with Equinox + Corda HA-2 = Still good enough for me (Deeper bass extension, silky midrange, nice soundstage and depth all this effect were driven by Equinox, balance and a little bit laid back)

SR80 + Corda HA-2 = Still good enough for me ( Better punch at the bass, a fuller midrange, a little bright as usual those combination very good for Rock music or even a rap or hip-hop music)

Here come the problem ATH-A1000 + Corda HA-2 = A little disappointment (Vocal was too NASAL and I hate it so much a try to switch the crossfeed but all the result still same) I think this is just not a good combination, I know HA-2 were a good product also ATH-A1000 (please don’t compare with cd3000) but maybe the two of them just not matched. Maybe other head-fier has some experience like me.

When I put the ATH-A1000 with my PCDP Panasonics SL-CT570 oh my good …….. This combination much-much better the NASAL were gone I tested with some good Jazz vocalist like Diana Krall. Patricia Barber, Caroll Kid and my favorite Jacintha and the results was fantastic because the A1000 quite sensitive so it can sound amazing with 40 – 50 % of the volume.

Thanks,

Yan SP
