Well thats good to hear, hopefully mine will ship this week!

Pretty standard fare, Justin always has bad luck on new product launches. This time he had a quality issue with the silk screener. When that was resolved his CNC machine motor went kaput delaying the second round of shipments. Now its golden so once he's caught up to back orders, Lite will ship the day after orders. And yes he is slow to email by my standards, but I'm a comp geek. He usually takes about 2 days to respond but if you catch him at the PC then its instant.

I think that the importance of prompt e-mail responses and frequent build status reports can go a long way towards building customer trust. I suspect that many customers understand the hand-made nature of these amps and are patient, but at the same time, they don't want to feel forgotten by the builder after spending hundreds of dollars.
The little things go a long way.

I just got this amp used and burned-in (supposedly) and my initial impressions are the same. The midrange is quite forward, imo. My only immediate qualm is this and the fact that its quite a difference between it and the soundstage that a good tube amp can put out. The forward midrange does give the Senns a more upfront sound but at the expense of the normally well-balanced character of the 650s. The bass is not as fat and impactful, but the argument could be made that it is a little tighter and more accurate. Still, I will have to adjust to the smaller soundstage/imaging and forward midrange. Those are the things that I've come to love in the MPX3/650 combo.
It may be a perfect match for tubed output source. It's low cost probably turns away many of us audiophile snobs, which is a shame. For the money, it has a wonderful sound, but I can see how it would need a good source. Maybe a bit too revealing for lesser sources.

gsferrari, what are you talking about? Who is bashing headamp? This is an old thread and stryker made the only recent post, which seems pretty positive to me.

gsferrari - the new lite is in stock and ready to ship in 1 to 3 days (he's a college student after all) since a few days ago so your suggestion is somewhat irrelevant. I don't see how this isn't a good method. you should do a bit of research beforehand before making a post like that. this information is readily available on the HeadAmp.com main page.

I'm just saying he has gilmore lites ready to ship and your post made it seem he still hasn't resolved this "issue" so was clarifying that.
you're replying to a thread where the issues being discussed are out of date... there isn't anything negative about your post, just that parts of it are not relevant anymore.

I guess thats what happens when people bump up dead threads...I had no idea about the timeline - I must admit - I dont usually look at the date when the posts were made. If it shows up when I click "Vew New Posts" then, habitually, I assume it is a new thread with a live discussion.
Obviously my error here...
Cheers!
