Thanks, glad to know since there's something on the ATH-ESW9, for the comments I've been reading, that I foresee I would love them. Not so sure about the TF10P, I feel more prone to try Atrios or UM2, but I don't know if the result would be too much in the warm side of neutral. I'm kind of neutral guy, I've been keeping my HD600 for years and in spite of owning better cans, they're still my reference for neutral sound, so hopefully you get the picture.

You would probably enjoy the iQube + ESW9 setup when going portable.

Excellent, the kind of answer I was willing to get. No worries, if it doesn't work for me I won't be sueing you hehehehe

I think I'll be ordering an iQube shortly. Do you know if the units ordered from now on will sport rechargeables? Softened battery housing cover clips? Can it be ordered with a matching AC adaptor?

Regards

You will have to talk with the dealers for those answers.

Yep, I think so, but considering Hans showed up over this thread in previous posts, I thought he could reply. Maybe Dex has some knowledge. Thanks!

The clips will be slightly softened as of the next production batch (we are selling the last of the previous batch as we speak.) The reason that I will not do a lot of softening is the change of rattling getting bigger. I have tried a couple and it is easy to soften too much in which case the battery lid starts to rattle.

I am sorry but I will not introduce an option for rechargeables as of yet Alkalines have been pre-bought for all of the first iQube series (that was the cheapest option). It could be a local dealers decision to do so by himself.

We do provide a USB PC charger cable, but sorry, no charger (which should be DC out BTW).
I decided that because US and Asia are the charger countries mainly. EU are more alkalines oriented and in those countries it can be bought locally much cheaper then I ever can.

Rgds

Hans

Hi Hans,

Thanks a lot for your explicative reply. I live in the EU so I'm supposed to like better alkalines hehehe. OK, no worries, with an expected battery life of 90 hours and being the batteries lid opening easier, maybe it's better travelling without a charger and buying the batteries wherever you are. A 4 batteries set is probably lighter than a charger and gets less space into the suitcase than it.

:-) Yes, I'm in Spain. Wheather is nice, quite sunny and around 15-18 ºC, but too dry, we'd need some rain to avoid a serious draught this summer. Maybe in May...

No question the iQube and the ESW9's sound great together. I use that combo a lot - terrific pairing.
