Default Beyerdynamic Headzone PRO XT HT (Head Tracking & 5.1 emulation)

I must say this may be the coolest headphone thing I have seen on the market right now (I know there is another manufacturer doing this too, I can't remember the name right now):

Headzone PRO

Has anyone heard the head tracking? It is available for the DT880s. I'm sure it costs a fortune (apparently around 2900 euros with the head tracking for full 5.1 effect).

I'm hoping they sell the software separately. That would be awesome.

Well scratch that, the Smyth Research setup looks even cooler:

That's interesting that you should make this thread, as I was just reading about the headzone yesterday. It's looks very cool, but I'll have to check out that other link you provided.

Also, I believe the headzone is not headphone specific. You can use any headphones, not just beyers.

EDIT: That link seems way cooler than the beyer solution. I'll definitely look into that more.

I think there was one at the 2008 North New Jersey meet this summer. You should be able to find some impressions in that thread. I tried it out for a bit. I think it works well for movies, but not useful for music.
