Default Any suggestions on Umbilical for MF X-can X-PSU? Other than Revelation Audio

I just bought a MF X-can v3, X-psu v3, and was wondering if there are any aftermarket Umbilical chords that can go between these 2 pieces that are not made of Silver, i.e. the Revelation Audio chord, I know they are very popular, but I have a preference to Cardas cables. I have Cardas throughout all my gear, and so I prefer the sound of Cardas and Copper and have never liked what silver has had to offer. I don't think Cardas offers this type of cable, otherwise I'd just get that, so I am looking for something close as a second choice.
Thanks,
Mike

Personally, I used to own the entire X-Can X-PSU X-DAC X-10 V3 setup and after weighing the cost of upgrading to Revelation Audio power cords or even others to try and improve the sound, I figured I'd be better off selling the setup and getting a new rig. As you can tell, I wasn't satisfied with the setup so you should keep this in mind, but it is my opinion that you probably wouldn't hear much of a difference by adding different power cords into this setup. I think that if you want to improve the sound, start by getting some good NOS tubes for the X-Can, then go from there. These power umbilicals should be the last thing you consider I think.

yes cables make a big difference including rca and power, but if you already have an improved power supply etc then I would spend the money on different valves and capacitors, good luck the xcAN ROCKS

Thanks for your replies!

I was considering that it would be a given that I'd be changing the stock tubes for something more exotic. But thats probably as far as I go for inside the box mods, because I consider the tubes user replaceable. I don't think I'd be changing out caps, since its just not my thing, and I am not inclined to ship it out for that either.

I wonder if I should just contact cardas and see if they make this cable or even try to find the connectors and make one myself using some stranded copper Cardas.

Anyone know where you can get these connectors.

i think it would be a waste of money, especially when it could be spent on things like vacuum tubes that can make a really large difference.

Yep, a total waste of money in my opinion. If you want to put your money to good use and actually "hear" improvements to the sound then recap the unit with some good quality low ESR high temp caps and fit some different valves. Throwing your money away on power cords will do "nothing" for the sound..... zilch, nada, nothing. of course, In My Opinion.
