Default Using PC as PS3 sound mixer

Hi,

I'm using a htpc as my main source for audio and video playback but i also have a ps3 and xbox 360. Most of my cd's and dvds are now boxed and in the attic as I have ripped them to around 2.5 terrabytes of disk space in the pc. I watch my movies on a panasonic AX 100e projector and the sound comes through the pc via cyberlink with dolby headphone. at the moment i can only use the ps3 for bluray using conventional speakers but i want to use my headphones and have the audio from the ps3 processed to dolby headphone. If i plug the audio L and R phonos into the line in on my pc using a phono to 3.5mm stereo plug will i be able to process the sound and will i have any lag issues between the sound and the movie playback? Has anyone used their pc as the sound processor for their equipment?

tks.
