The only other effective ground loop battling solution are ground loop isolators, but they seem to negatively affect sound. (check xitel side, they sell some)
If you know of anything else please do us a favor and post here. Thanks.
Afraid that wouldn't help with the computer source induced noise. If amplifier and PSU are in one case, USB or coax connection from computer transfers all internal computer noises using this connection as a conductor closing the ground loop. Out of everything I have tried 100% elimination is guaranteed by one of the following:
1) running laptop source off the battery
2) using xitel ground loop isolators (other brands will do to I guess)
3) adding 3 to 2 prong adapters to power cords with separate ground pin.
4) switching to optical toslink or using wi-fi as a transport.

Agreed, I'm sure its safer than the cheater plug. The reviews here so far (that I have seen) say it does an excellent job. I suppose this could be one of those "what type of user" things. I've been pretty lucky so far, and haven't had a need for one... Knock on wood!

Wondering if anyone here tried it. Can you please post links to these review, somehow I cannot find much Ebtech related posts.

I've tested the Behringer unit against the Trends UD-10 and The Trends Audio unit sounds so much better. The Behringer does a good basic job without problems and at 30 bucks is a good deal. The Trends Audio UD-10 was a real surprise. It's a huge upgrade from the UCA-202. The '202 sounded completely flat in comparison here.
