Default terratec Phase 26 USB SE, 99 eur. Good deal?

I found a terratec Phase 26 USB SE, 99 eur. is this a Good deal?
I simply need a card that gives me the best DAC possible to get music out of my laptop and into my audiophile amp and speakers.

I have looked at the echo audiofire2, nice card too, but it's firewire and my dell 1720 laptop doesn't have powered firewire ports. It's also 50% more expensive.

Thanks

PS: I plan to run softsynths later maybe, so DSP power is important.

Note: it seems it's USB 1.0. Is that bad? I.e., is it worth it to get USB 2.0 or firewire?
