Swan M200 + Emu 0404 + Sonic T-amp??
I already own the first two. I have the EMU 0404 usb external unit and run it to the Swan M200's via the miniplug to split rca.
Would I be able to plug the lineout from the EMU 0404 to the Sonic T-amp, and then the speaker wire from the T-amp to the binding posts of the Swan M200s?
Is this a case of diminishing returns? Do the Swan M200s need the input connected directly via the RCA inputs?

Do you have speaker level binding posts on BOTH of the M200s? I thought they were amplified speakers - one of the speakers takes a line level input, amplifies the signal, and sends it to the built-in speakers and to the other speaker via high-level outputs. If I'm right, you can't hook up a different amp to those speakers.

you dont need the T amp. GET a mini-rca or RCA to TRS and connect them directly to EMU 0404USB. I have the setup for awhile and it was fabulous

thank you for your help. yeah, they are amplified speakers.
is there a difference between TRS and TS cables? balanced, unbalanced? i would like to buy the TRS to RCA cable but unclear about one more thing. In the emu 0404 usb manual it says the following:
4. Main Outputs
The main outputs are normally connected to your monitoring system. The
signal is duplicated on a stereo 1/8¨ jack for easy connection to desktop
stereo speakers.
Use TS unbalanced cables for consumer-level line signals and TRS balanced
cables for pro-level line signals. Balanced cables provide +6dB more output.

What portable speakers?
Well I may have found good use for the Sonic Amp. Going camping in a month and was wondering if anyone had recommendations on portable speakers. Maybe for the beach too. They'll be hooked up to mp3 players (my Sony A818 and an Ipod).
Maybe the JBL Control 1X's?
Or should I just buy a boombox
