Soundcard pops?

Hi there!

I have recently moved my PC-setup into the kitchen (and then cables going to my bedroom through the wall) I have not changed the cables going to the soundcard or the power outlet.. Nor did I make changes in the way my soundcard is set up...

BUT now I got some VERY irritating pops from my speakers..! They come iregulary -and it doesn't change anything that I mute the output. It seems that they are more eager to appear when the card is idle and I don't listen to music....

Before i start changing cables and messing around with everything -does anybody knows what's a good place to start trying to find the reason for these pops?
