Default Need recs for a cheap/small/portable USB DAC

The stereo and microphone outs of my Vostro laptop are too buggy for comfort. If I move my headphone cable the slightest bit the sound will crack up, and I have to connect and reconnect my microphone cable quite a number of times for Windows to properly recognize it.

On Amazon I see this Koss adapter, and there's also one by Sound, one by Startech, and one that also seems to work as a small amp by Behringer.

So, if any of you have experience with this stuff, I would appreciate some input.

The Super DAC 707 seems to be well regarded.

Edirol UA-1EX

It even has a headphone amp and works on Linux. It has many good reviews.
