I've got yet another iTunes related question. I have an extensive collection of files I've recorded in 24/96, not at all practical(or possible) for using with a portable audio player. Is there a good way of setting these two library's up within iTunes while keeping them completely separate?
I have 2 libraries in different hard drives, one with Apple Losseless and one with MP3 files. If you have a Mac, just press the option key as you start iTunes, it will give you that option. On a PC I think is the shift key but I am not sure.
i have an itunes related question. so my computer died awhile back..built a new comp...started using foobar. well i wanna update my ipod now...but if i d-load itunes and add music thats not on my ipod wont those songs override everything else thus taking all the music off and just leaving the songs that i have on my itunes library on it?
i didnt plan on adding my whole music collection to itunes since i use foobar. but was just going to add the new music to itunes so i can transport it to the ipod....that gonna be possible without deleting all the music on my ipod?

Sure! You have at least two options:
1. Two completely separate iTunes libraries. Click and hold 'Alt' when launching iTunes.
2. Using Smart Playlists. One using 'Sample Rate: 44.100 Khz' and another one using 'Sample Rate: 96.000 Khz', or similar.
If you are running MS Windows I am quite sure its another key than 'Alt'. But can't remember which one...
Guess you will have to try the alternatives. Shift, Ctrl, ...

I can't answer with regards to iTunes since I don't use it, but I do know you can configure J. River Media-Jukebox for manual syncing so nothing is added/deleted automatically. Works great with my 5G video.

I am using a Mac so its the alt/option key. I tried it and it worked first try. Now I just gotta wait till I get my external hard drive to set up the new library.
