Default MX5021 Mod for better SQ

I came across this site:

Jimmy’s Junkyard » Blog Archive » Inside Altec Lansing MX5021: Amplifier Mod

Jimmy’s Junkyard » Blog Archive » Altec MX5021 Speaker Mod

I'd like to hear your opinions on how worthy you think these mods would be. These are a great set of speakers, but I am not sure how much of a difference in sq these mods will make and whether they will be worth it. I know some of you criticize computer speakers of being inferior, but I already love the sound of the mx5021 and I would love to make them sound better,

I can understand why upgrading the op amp to the burr browns will make it sound better, but I am still skeptical on the effect of replacing the stock capacitors with more "audiophile quality" ones especially the ones in the subwoofer.

If I do decide to go with this mod, would it be okay to mix "audiophile" capacitors from difference manufacturers?

Your opinions and comments are more than welcome.

about audiophile capasitor, why don't you ask guys at XFi mod thread, they sure have already try it...

are you from Indonesia? if not, maybe I can tell you that Mr.Jimmy is kinda credible and respected among the hobbyist, also only if I've got skill, I would have done this mod a long time ago.....
