Default Music sharing?

What's the most common type of music list sharing today? Like the mix tapes used in the 1980s. Is it more popular to use Audio CDs or some sort of flash drive full of files?

Thanks.

Most people just send MP3s to each other online. You can create a mix album by saving a playlist file of the MP3s in your player (ex. Foobar 2000). Put the MP3s and playlist into a zip file and send away.

For the sake of legality, let's say that this only applies to music that is free to distribute.
