no, the MicroDAC is not negatively affecting the sound. i'm just realizing that maybe the sennheiser sound is not for me. sometimes i find myself wanting certain instruments and vocals to be more pronounced and "in your face". also, i feel at times that the sound is a little too warm for my tastes.
