Oh, yeah, I don't think the processing part of resampling is the problem in your case.

What kind of sound card are you using, and what sample rate are you trying to achieve?

Default "iTunes Library.itl" cannot be read

After uninstalling itunes and then reinstalling foobar, mp and itunes i get: The file "iTunes Library.itl" cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of iTunes.
Anyone got any ideas?

Keith

Search for the file "iTunes Library.itl" and delete it. Then, if necessary, reinstall iTunes. That's my guess, anyway.

I like the Secret Rabbit resampler. I installed the ALAC encoder on foobar and quit using iTunes altogether except for loading my iPod (iTunes takes up so much processor time). I have an onboard 24-bit realtek (I don't know which model), and resampling it up to 48khz makes the sound... weird. No stuttering, but the energy's gone and there's less bass. I kept the sampling rate at 44.1 KHz and I'm loving the sound

Alright, I feel embarrassed asking for help over something like this, but I haven't found anything fiddling around or searching the forums . . .

Previously, I set up ASIO4all & iTunes/Foobar according to the guides on this site, run via my TBAAM. I just received a Corda Move, uninstalled the TBAAM, and rebooted. When I plugged in the Corda Move, I ran into an error msg whenever I tried to play Apple Lossless about the incompatibility of 2 channels against an expected 8 drivers--FLAC, WAV, & CD's play fine. After rebooting the computer, the error msg is gone, but the music still will not produce sound. I've tried disabling a variety of options, running Foobar output to only the Move and not ASIO first, etc. nothing's working . . . any advice?

Multi-plugin is a great tool. The problem with using it is that iTunes keeps producing upgrades, and most of them require upgraded versions of Multi-Plugin, yet the author hasn't updated it in a year. Newer versions of iTunes are required to use the newer iPods, so not upgrading gets tough.

I had the latest version of iTunes so I uninstalled that and downloaded the iTunes and multi plugin file. It installs fine, but when I go to open the new old version of iTunes I get this error.

"The file "iTunes Library.itl" cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of iTunes."

What's going on?

Is there anyway that J River Media Center can be used instead of iTunes? Foobar2000 is okay, but I hate how annoying all of the skins are to set up and get working. I also hate how slow and bloated iTunes, it's terrible, it's slow even with a 3.4 quad CPU. I wouldn't mind haven't two programs open at the same time in, so I could use J River Media Center with Foobar2000.
