I was anticipating needing to mod the EMU 0404 to get a clock input to it, but this solves it without mods.
This means that I can drive the word-clock input of the Sync Daughtercard from my standard Pace-Car reclocker without needing ANY mods to the 0404. Everything is off-the-shelf and just works. I love it. This is the first USB solution that I have found that does not require either mods to the source or tuning of the Pace-Car to the laptop. I can't wait to add this to the website
wow thanks for all the replys I was just planning on building my own DAC just need a way of getting the audio data out of a computer in the best form posible and making my own PCI/ISA cards is kind of not fesiable (for one my programing isn't good enough to right device drivers). For the reading I had done I2S apeared to be supirior to Spdif. The juli@ looks like a decent choice at the moment as it can be used as a soundcard upgrade while I figure it out, are scematics avaiable for the juli@?

well, i cant find a head-on picture of it, but it looks like the only way to connect it to the 0404 is via a ribbon cable
audioengr- have you had luck ordering one? i dont think its made anymore as EMU's company website doesnt have it listed..
I think it may only be compatible with the PCI version of 0404. Hard to believe it's discontinued as it works with 1212M also. Oh well, life sucks and then you die.....
