so far I haven't cared much and hope the hard drives won't crash.
I don't have too many files on the computer and most are stored redundantly on usually two or more computers anyways so it isn't too bad.
once I start creating a decent collection of lossless files I'll keep a backup copy on my computer in japan though. I'm sure there's room for quite a few albums on the 720GB of hard drive space in that thing.
I don't have a (re)writable DVD drive and too lazy to go buy one... and too lazy to use the CD-RW drive to burn backups (though I have like 1000+ CD-R blanks. lol) so I guess the hard drive is the way to go.

(setups currently with me... also have a PS1 & MDR-R10 sitting around) AT-DHA3000 -> Wyvern Audio extension cable -> Wyvern Audio 010 cable -> Qualia 010 CEC DA53 -> Accuphase RCA IC -> HeadAmp Aristaeus -> Sennheiser HE90
Actually I'm thinking of using MiniDV for backup using my camcorder, as it's cheap storage and should be decent speed over firewire. Is this a bad idea?
