External DAC or sound card?

Ok I was planning on getting either a Zero or SuperPro 707 DAC to power a LD MKV and I was wondering if a sound card would be better? I know the Zero and 707 can do 24bit/192khz and I was wondering which sound card could compare for under $180? I heard the x-fi wasnt that good unless it was modded, but are there any other cards that are good from the factory? I guess I wouldn't mind doing the upgrade but I guess I just want something out of the box.
