My sister is getting A700s from my parents for her birthday (lucky girl), but her internal soundcard is absolute trash. I think the conventional knowledge is that a DAC would be better, but her soundcard is so bad I'm not sure if it would even make any difference. Any recommendations for a cheap (i.e., $100 budget, preferably less -- much less, honestly) external soundcard that will get the job done, or even a DAC if you really think it's a better option? Thanks.
