There's actually a 31 band graphic equalizer through an audio unit. Overkill I think but it's there.

Using a virtual machine to play foobar shouldn't even be an option. Look at what the platform provides natively and if foobar is too important to you, there is BootCamp to load directly into Windows. But then you'd have to ask yourself, why did I buy a Mac in the first place?

J. River has a DirectX plugin for it's DSP if you want to run a multi-band compressor or effects.

This is useful info!

I'll try the convolver plug-ins for iTunes and see how I go. If this is not going to work, I'll just run bootcamp on a Windows partition on my MAC and run good 'ole Foobar.

I had an ASUS M6A notebook but got sick of its overheating and of Windows flakiness... the alternative as Vista bloatware, so MAC and Leopard looked good in comparison. I wonder what it would take to convince the developer of Foobar to do a port to MAC? Maybe this could be a subject of a poll, if there are enough of us who would be prepared to contribute $$$ this may happen.
