Default Amp?

Well... I've been debating on getting an amp. I'm heading into more of getting one but only if it fits my budget. I really don't know.

Do you guys think i should get an amp. My current setup is Foobar > Emu 0404 > ATH-A700?

Oh also I've been looking at the Sonic Impact 5065 Gen 2 T-Amp for $50 + shipping i don't know if that is a good deal or not. I've read some pretty good reviews on it but i still don't know. =(

Opinions anyone?

I can tell you that the general consensus is that the A700 and A900 don't improve all that much from amping, so you might not get enough improvement over the already decent amp from the EMU to think it is worth it.

Uh... can't say anything else, esp. that T-amp which I don't know much about except some good review for the technology itself when applying to speakers... someone else better chime in.

T-amps are meant to drive speakers, not headphones.
