Your video is now up as well as a few more. There's a 500MB / week quota on this site and I've used it. I'll post more next week and the week after I've got over 1GB of uploads left LOL
In the MIA (headroom stuff) video, it's funny to really hear the Sennheisers. Wow they are really open cans.

My advice to you:
- Use your own ears as everybody's hearing and preferences are different.
- Try to audition as much equipment as possible to find your sound.
- Buy used to save money.
Anyone have/get more info on the "orpheus clone" ? Did anyone spend time listening to them ? Looks like one heck of a meet ! NICE !!
I assume you mean the HEAUDIO setup being shown on the Head Direct table? Unfortunately, the amplifier/driver with which they were paired was a 220V unit and the small step-up transformer (all Fang could come up with at short notice) was clearly holding it back. Later in the day, Fang let me take the headphones over to meet the SinglePower ES-1 and the WooAudio GES. That showed what they were capable of; and I was very impressed. They are priced closer to the Stax Lambda but sound closer to the Orpheus. Anyone contemplating the Stax Omega should really try to audition the newcomer. I didn't spend long with them, and the meet was way too noisy for a detailed assessment, but they struck me as a worthy contender in the increasingly crowded electrostatic realm. Last time I checked the Head Direct web site, you could order a pair for under $1k, with a 30-day return privilege. I'm sorely tempted.

You assume correctly and thank you very much. Very tempting !!!
Headphoneus Supremus: '06 National Meet Co-Coordinator
With all the down time and other commitments, I'm finally getting to this thread now.
Thanks to Tom for setting up another great meet, and thanks to everyone who generously shared their gear. I won the Minibox-E+ amp in the auction, so many thanks to Head Direct for being so generous.
Impressions....
It was a lot of fun talking to everyone and there was a ton of really cool gear, too!
