The ESW10 will be available across Europe from early November if what I've just learned is correct. Pricing will be around 600€/450 Pounds - But don't nail me down on that because I heard it from someone who knows someone who knows...and so on

Europe is the perfect place for headphone geeks these days. Beyers, Senns and AKGs are really cheap, and the strong Euro also makes highest tier Grados or Alessandros affordable.
Who cares for japanese AT queekers...

600 Euro seems reasonable as the german Audio Technica distributor is a joke anyway (the hifi section). The W1000 also costs 500-600 Euros here, they translate the MSRP Yen price 1:1. An import W1000 is around 300 Euro.
So that makes sense for the ESW10: MSRP ~60000 Yen, Streetprice around 40000-45000 Yen, voila 300-350 Euro imported. As long the euro doesnt continue it's landslide until november

I think that might not be too bad of a price (the JP one at least),
who knows what they might be going for in a few years.

those Denon 7000s look so much better than any company-issued picture would imply

Who the heck in their right mind would pay 450GBP for the ESW10?! Seems awfully expensive, but then again, AT are marketing it as a collectable.

surely audiocubes will sell the ESW10 for a LOT less? I mean the ESW9 has always been around the £150 from audiocubes...so even if the ESW10 costs more, I wouldn't have thought they could justify pricing it at more than £250. Do you think they UK pricing is simply because of the very limited number sold in Europe compared to Japan?
D5000s cost £500 in England, yet are £300 from audiocubes.

I have two questions that I would love for you all to try and answer for me. One; how do these headphones compare to the JVC DX-1000's? They are both the flagships of the brands and a direct comparison is in order. Two; what genuinely new technology is implemented in the Denon D7000? Sometimes I wonder if the novelty-of-the-new with these headphones is what drives their sales. I wonder if Denon could have made these same headphones 10 years ago. Maybe there is something totally new about them that really make them a cutting edge reference. I would like to hear your opinions.
