Thanks for sharing m00hk00h!

Any idea how much the ESW10 would cost? When are they expected to be available in the market?

These Beyers look awful, but I guess folks who like pimped up plastic blondes will like them.

Sorry, I neither know the retail prices nor the release dates of the ESW10.

Guess I'm setting aside a large chunk of money for those ESW10s.

My wild guess: The ESW10 should cost something around 50000 Yen if the improvements are mostly optical (as we have seen already) but with only slight tonal changes or small improvements (tighter, more transparency).
If they however improved the technical abilities of the ESW9 by a wide margin i guess the price would be more around 70000 Yen.
This all is just guessing but based on the previous AT retail pricing.

PS: Street prices are usually 30-50% lower than the above mentioned. The ESW9 MSRP is 38000 Yen but street is 20000 Yen. As these are limited the streetprice will not go below but very certainly reach 30% as that was the case with the previous limited ATs too.

The drivers of the ESW10 are a completely new development...
Just in case I didn't mention it, yet.

Argh, I forgot the AH-D7000:

My first impressions are based on a 20 minute listening session in the dealer area of Denon, it was really quite there.
And I must say: this headphone really blew my mind. I don't like it's strong and powerful bass but everything else was just impressive. Very nice tonal ballance, extremly clear but never annoying highs and very spacey, 3D like sound. The price tag is hefty and without direct comparison these impressions must be handled with care...but if I will be able to hear it again (at home) I will definitely do that!
999 Euros translate into an expensive headphone here in the US. Any comparison to the say the Grado PS1, which I think came out at around $1500? What about against the Ultrasone Edition 9s?

I have heard the PS1 only once...long time ago. But I had an Ed9 here for a some weeks. I don't really want to compare it to the D7000 as it is not really a closed phone (read: semi open) because of the "acoustic optimizer" or whatever it's called. IMHO the D7000 wins easily in all disciplines...but don't nail me down on that - no A/B comparison.

Sounding better than an Edition 9 isn't such a hard duty...

The D7000 is already on the Denon USA site with an MSRP of $999. I'll take the wild guess that it's eventually be available for $750 or less at the usual online retailers.
