every 2 weeks i have to take a trip down. last day of school for the summer is aug 1st and my surgery is going to be around the 7th so hopefully if i can get enough warning regarding the date of the next meet i MIGHT be able to move the surgery around a few days so people dont point and laugh at me. also the chances of me going on a road trip will go down severely if the meet happens to coincide with my "recovery" time. damn pesky parents wont let me be...still.
holy crap...can jam fever hasnt even died down yet and now mike mentioned this local meet!!! you're killing me man. boomana said something about a local meet later on as well but i thought that was just wishful thinking but now coming from 2 big shots...talk about me being giddy.

...to all of these events. If "Dead Heads" could follow the band around the country in Volkswagon Vanagons all year long and live on knishes and cheap beer, so could "Head-Fi Heads".
Quit your jobs and sell your soul and get on a Greyhound, man.

i wonder if it is just me or every single person who is entering a phd program want to do that sooooooooooooooooo bad. something about being a slave to your books for ANOTHER 5 years just makes life on the road, going to meets every few days, traveling with friends and listening to music seem a tad bit more fun.
since i am in the mood, heres some more mit humor for yall -
amount of fun to be had in a phd program - amount of fun to be had doing what immtbiker suggested = epsilon fun
(if you were in the calculus class im teaching, yeah thats right, im actually teaching a class *god help these poor souls* you would see the humor in the above equation)

I never left the hotel. Time making old friends into new friends in new situations was what it's about. This is a community, and nothing proved it like canjam.

Sorry, Vipe, we're out of sugar and eggs, but we have beer in the fridge and fresh herb in the cabinet. Help yourself.

Crappyjones,
Don't worry about the surgery. I met these guys only a day or two after having surgery. I wasn't even supposed to be out of the house. It was my introduction to head-fi, and a fine one at that, crutches, cast, pills, and all.
Oh, and when I get my BH SE/O2, if there's not a larger meet coming soon, I'll throw a mini one at least.

That's ok, I'm sweet enough. You should be careful about showing the kitty where you hide the catnip though.
