Sylvania 6SN7GTA: (Tests New + 10 hours) on eBay
The original white Sylvania 6SN7GTA box is included. It tested new, but wasn’t NOS when I got it. Before I put the tube away to keep as an emergency back-up, I listened to it for a few days to ensure it worked properly with headphones. The Sylvania 6SN7GTA is substantially more refined and better sounding than the Electro Harmonix – it isn’t even funny this tube sounds very nice. This tube is designated as exceptional with moving coil phono input – see blue dot.

The Sylvania 6SN7GT Tall Bottle / Metal Base tube comes with a Sylvania 6SN7GT box and the tube denotes 6SN7A on the top and 6SN7GT clearly printed in green on the metal base. I just recently rolled it into my amp and I got it NOS. The seller said this tube tests as one of the very best of the best and additionally he designated as exceptional with moving coil phono input – see blue dot – so overall you can’t really get much better than this. Further this Holy Grail of the 6SN7 NOS tubes is fast becoming extinct. It’s sweet, dynamic, detailed, musical, 3-dimensional sound, and ultra quiet. This rare 1940s tube ranks with the very few other greatest 6SN7 ever made.
