Also looking. One thing that could always be done is go to your local Guitar center and have them build something. Kinda a last resort but if your in a hurry, locals better. Just make sure and ask for decent wire like Mogami.

i could potentially do it, ive lots of cable making experience (lods, rcas, interconnects, yada yada u get it) but ive never done one for an apogee duet b4. if you can give me the specs on the info for the connector on the duet side of things, im sure i could whip something solid up for whoever is interested. pricing would just depend on the cost of the connectors (how hard it is to get the duet end connectors), and what kind of wire you'd want me to use and what RCAs. PM me if interested and if you have the duet info.

Just FYI, the Duet uses a standard 15-pin VGA male connector, which can be stripped off an old PC monitor cable for free, and the pinout configuration is shown on their Web site here.
Oops, Jaska beat me to it.

I should also add that I am looking for more of a connector as I would like to connect my own cables.

yep, got that, i went and found that right away after posting ironically. seems like itd be very very straightforward to put together a breakout to RCA if thats all u need. add complexity when u start working in inputs as well. out of curiosity, do they not just sell the breakout cable - they must. if ur lookin to use all the inputs/outputs id be surprised if thats not the cheapest route to go. for just RCA outputs, a DIYer can likely throw somethign quality together for less

The breakout cable is included with the Duet. Replacements can be ordered separately. I think the point here is that some are, for whatever reason, dissatisfied with the included cable and want a souped-up one to replace it.

Yes. I'd rather have a single breakout to RCA cable than have to fudge it with various adapters and connectors of varying quality. I'm not after great looks, exotic materials or insulations, just a good-quality no-fuss cable.
best,
o

I've made a couple for friends but can't make any more for time reasons right now but it's easy enough and if anyone has any questions shoot me a PM and I'll try to help.

yep i agree wtih cantsleep. FYI im just mid-process with a move right now, but in about 1-2 weeks i will be all settled and my workspace set up again, if anyone wants anything done then, id be more than happy to. its looks like a very striaghtforward cable to make, the only tricky part might be sourcing the duet connector, but I have an inkling those can be had for very cheap from somewhere like NCIX, without even having to lop it off an existing cable. feel free to PM me
