Has the CS4398 dac (better than the cheaper AD1892 dac) and the discrete headphone amplifier upgrade.
Came with some factory upgrade options when purchased:
The AD1852 comes with JRC5532 installed, the CS4398 with OPA2604 (standard).The power capacitors are replaced with ELNA capacitors, digital circuit capacitors are replaced with OS-CON, the DC-blocking capictors have been replaced with MUSE Bi-polar capacitors
The D2 has balanced outputs unlike the later versions.
